2023 Porsche Taycan vs. 2022 Porsche Taycan

Overview

The first electric vehicle from Porsche, the Taycan is a luxury sedan with plenty of variants and options packages. Learn what to expect from the 2023 Porsche Taycan vs. the 2022 Porsche Taycan.

Technology Upgrades

The biggest upgrades to the 2023 Taycan are related to the infotainment technology in the cabin. The multimedia interface has been tweaked to make it more intuitive and easier to navigate. It offers a revised head-up display and wireless Android Auto. One interesting feature is the navigation system's ability to filter charging stations by the power outlet you need, so it's easier to find a fast-charging station.

Powertrain and Battery Upgrades

Upgrades to the battery and powertrain will improve the charging speed and range of the 2023 Taycan. A unique innovation on dual-motor variants with all-wheel drive, the front motor can now disconnect when it isn't needed, meaning it won't draw power when it's not being used, improving the range between charges. In addition, the battery now adjusts quickly to optimal fast charge temperatures for reduced charging time.

Other Upgrades

A few feature upgrades are also on deck this year, including prewiring for a Porsche dashcam now being an option. You also get Variable Light Control on every Taycan with a panoramic glass roof. This allows you to darken the glass using a slider above the rearview mirror, letting you enjoy the sky above while taming the heat of the sun in the summer.

The upgrades to the new 2023 Porsche Taycan are subtle, but they are sure to make this powerful and fun-driving EV shine even more than it did before.
